Mandala.hu: How We Built a Modern Omnichannel Ecommerce System
Mandala.hu already had something many ecommerce businesses spend years trying to create: a distinctive identity and a loyal customer base.
What it did not yet have was the operational system needed to support the next stage of growth.
This project was therefore never simply about rebuilding an online store. We needed to connect the brand, ecommerce platform, inventory, advertising, reseller network, physical retail and internal operations into one coherent commercial system.
When HelloProVision joined the project in January 2026, we approached Mandala through a 360° brand and ecommerce management model.
That meant working across strategy, creative, technology and daily operations rather than treating each area as an isolated project.
The goal was not to remove the personality of a family business. It was to build a scalable system around everything customers already loved about the brand.
A Distinctive Family Brand With a Complex Product World
Mandala operates in a category that is difficult to reduce to a simple product label.
Its assortment includes clothing, jewelry, singing bowls, incense, home decor, teas and other products connected through a distinctive lifestyle and spiritual aesthetic.
The brand already had character, recognition and a loyal audience.
The challenge was preserving that identity while replacing a traditional, increasingly difficult-to-manage business structure with a modern omnichannel commerce system.
In other words, the transformation had to make Mandala more professional without making it feel corporate or generic.
The Brand Was Strong. The Infrastructure Behind It Needed to Catch Up.
When we entered the project, Mandala already had meaningful brand equity. The operational side of the business, however, had grown increasingly complex.
A Strong Brand With Fragmented Operations
The brand experience was memorable, but that strength did not carry consistently into inventory, ecommerce, workflows and daily commercial decisions.
An Online Store Carrying Too Much Complexity
The new ecommerce platform needed to sell products, support campaigns, serve reseller partners, communicate with inventory systems and prepare the business for physical retail.
Inventory Had Become a Growth Constraint
With thousands of products, questions around availability, pricing, outlet logic and synchronization could no longer be managed through disconnected processes.
Physical Retail Changed the Business Model
Opening the Budapest store introduced new communication, staffing, operational and decision-making requirements across the business.
Build One Scalable System Around the Entire Business
The objective was to create an operational structure that was easier to manage while giving the brand room to grow.
The system needed to:
- rebuild Mandala’s digital commerce foundation,
- improve the online shopping experience,
- connect inventory with real product availability,
- support reseller and partner operations,
- create a scalable advertising system,
- establish a stronger SEO and content foundation,
- support the launch of physical retail,
- and preserve the personality of the original family brand.
The challenge was therefore much larger than web development. It required commercial, technical and operational decisions to move in the same direction.
Rebuilding the Business and Brand Strategy
We did not begin the project by redesigning pages.
First, we needed to understand how the business actually worked: which product categories mattered commercially, where customers encountered friction and how the brand could communicate more clearly without losing its existing personality.
Creating clearer commercial priorities
- We restructured the main business priorities.
- We identified commercially important product categories.
- We aligned brand communication with sales objectives.
- We established clearer communication and campaign focuses.
This changed the way the project was viewed internally.
Mandala was no longer treated as simply an online store with thousands of products. It became a connected brand and commerce ecosystem.
Rebuilding Mandala.hu From the Ground Up
We did not simply refresh the visual appearance of the existing ecommerce site.
The underlying structure was redesigned so the platform could support both customers and the broader commercial system around Mandala.
What changed under the surface
- A new information architecture was created.
- Categories and subcategories were reorganized.
- Desktop and mobile UX/UI were redesigned.
- Friction points in the purchasing process were reduced.
- The platform was prepared for campaigns and promotions.
- Technical SEO foundations were implemented.
- Newsletter and conversion touchpoints were repositioned.
- A stronger structure for educational and blog content was created.
The objective was straightforward: the website needed to be visually consistent with the brand while also functioning as an effective ecommerce platform.
This is the same principle behind our Web Design & Development approach: design, structure and commercial performance should be planned together.
Creating a Reliable Inventory and Warehouse System
With approximately 4,500 product types, inventory management was not a secondary technical task.
It was part of the commercial backbone of the business.
Connecting Juta, WooCommerce and partner stores
We placed the Juta inventory management system at the center of the inventory logic and connected it directly with WooCommerce.
The wider structure also needed to support Mandala’s reseller and partner ecommerce operations.
- We reorganized inventory logic.
- We connected the ecommerce store with the warehouse system.
- We introduced custom pricing multipliers and discount rules.
- We connected advertising decisions with real product availability.
- We separated outlet, new arrivals and core commercial categories.
The ecommerce store, reseller partners and physical retail team needed to work from the same underlying product and inventory data.
Connecting Product Strategy With Commercial Priorities
A large assortment does not automatically create an effective ecommerce business.
Product groups needed to be organized according to commercial importance, seasonality and campaign potential.
- Categories were prioritized according to commercial value.
- Seasonal and campaign-ready product groups were identified.
- The outlet structure was redesigned.
- Inventory availability was connected with campaign planning.
- B2C and reseller requirements were treated separately where needed.
The aim was to prevent purchasing, inventory and communication from operating as separate systems.
Instead, each part of the product lifecycle needed to support the same commercial strategy.
Building SEO Into the Ecommerce Structure
SEO was not treated as a separate optimization phase after the website rebuild.
Search intent, categories, content and technical structure were considered together from the beginning.
Creating an organic growth foundation
- Keyword and search-intent-driven category planning
- Technical SEO foundations
- SEO-friendly page and content structures
- Educational and blog content directions
- Connections between commercial and inspirational content
- Seasonal SEO and campaign support
This was particularly important for Mandala because many products sit in categories where customers research, compare and educate themselves before making a purchase.
Our broader SEO & Local Search work follows the same principle: search visibility works best when it supports the real customer journey rather than existing as a separate marketing layer.
Building an Integrated Campaign System
Growth also required a campaign model that could support traffic, conversion and brand development at the same time.
We coordinated activity across Google Ads, Meta and email rather than treating every campaign as an isolated promotion.
The campaign structure included
- Google Ads campaign structures,
- Meta campaigns and creative systems,
- category-focused campaigns,
- sale periods and coupon-based promotions,
- newsletter campaigns,
- product and category-focused email communication,
- physical store traffic campaigns,
- and reseller communication.
The goal was for advertising to support the larger commercial system, not compete with it for attention.
Turning Communication Into a Repeatable System
A growing ecommerce operation cannot depend entirely on manual communication and last-minute marketing tasks.
We therefore developed a more structured email and automation system around the rebuilt store.
- Newsletter structures were developed.
- Automated email flows were planned.
- Cart abandonment communication was created.
- Post-purchase messages were structured.
- Promotional email frameworks were developed.
- Partner communication templates and data collection processes were created.
Email became part of the ecommerce and partner system rather than a standalone promotional channel.
Rebuilding the Reseller and Partner Model
Mandala also operates through a reseller network, which required a different commercial logic from the consumer-facing online store.
Pricing, ordering behavior, communication and inventory access all needed to support partner-specific requirements.
- Reseller communication was reorganized.
- The partner sales process was redesigned.
- Partner information and data collection materials were created.
- Registration and ecommerce access logic was supported.
- API-based product and inventory communication was prepared and supported.
- Partner-specific pricing and discount logic was implemented.
This allowed Mandala to operate as more than a direct-to-consumer ecommerce store and support a more complex commercial network.
Extending the Brand Into Physical Retail
One of the most significant milestones of the transformation was Mandala’s physical store opening at Bakáts Street 6 in Budapest on June 22, 2026.
This was not simply a new marketing channel. It introduced an additional operating model into the business.
Supporting the retail launch
- We prepared launch communication.
- We planned store-focused campaigns.
- We connected online and offline communication.
- We supported retail category priorities.
- We created seasonal and brand-building launch content.
- We established physical retail as a separate communication pillar.
Mandala therefore evolved from a primarily digital commerce brand into an omnichannel business with a physical customer experience.
Connecting Ecommerce With Education and In-Person Experience
One of the more distinctive parts of the project was the customer journey built around Mandala’s singing bowls.
This category requires more explanation and customer involvement than a typical ecommerce purchase.
The singing bowl consultation system
- A dedicated landing page was created.
- An appointment booking flow was developed.
- Educational content was added before the purchase decision.
- The product category was connected with an in-person experience.
- Digital discovery could lead directly to physical retail engagement.
This became one of the clearest examples of Mandala’s omnichannel model: online discovery, education, appointment booking and physical purchase were connected within one journey.
Restructuring the Team and Daily Operations
The project became a genuine business transformation because the work did not stop at marketing or ecommerce.
New systems and channels required the internal organization to evolve as well.
- New systems were introduced.
- Operational workflows were redesigned.
- Management logic was optimized.
- New employee onboarding was supported.
- Roles and daily routines were clarified.
- Commercial activity and operations were better aligned.
At this stage, the engagement went beyond traditional agency execution.
The work involved helping the company build the operational structure required to support its new commercial model.
What 360° Brand Management Meant for Mandala
In this project, 360° did not mean changing direction completely.
It meant looking at the business from every major operational and customer-facing angle and connecting those areas around the same commercial objectives.
Brand strategy influenced ecommerce. Ecommerce depended on inventory. Inventory affected campaigns. Campaigns needed content and automation. Physical retail introduced new operational and staffing requirements.
None of these elements could perform at their best in isolation.
From a Characterful Family Business to a Modern Omnichannel Commerce System
The outcome was much more than a redesigned website.
Ecommerce, inventory, partner sales, paid media, organic search, physical retail and daily operations began working within a more connected structure.
Reported project results
Reported increase in website traffic during the first three months.
Reported growth in non-paid organic website traffic.
Reported improvement in ecommerce conversion performance.
Reported increase in the average value of an online order.
A large product catalog restructured into a clearer commercial and inventory system.
Mandala opened its physical store at Bakáts Street 6 in Budapest.
Scaling the Business Without Losing the Brand
Mandala demonstrates that professionalizing a family business does not have to mean removing the qualities that made customers care about it in the first place.
The objective was not to replace Mandala’s personality with corporate processes.
It was to create systems strong enough to support that personality at a larger scale.
The ecommerce platform, inventory structure, reseller model, marketing, physical store and internal operations were brought closer together so the business could be managed as one connected system.
That is what 360° brand management meant in this project: connecting brand, technology, commerce and operations around the same business goals.
